Touring in USA
Rugby is thought to have first raised it's head in America in 1874 when two university teams played each other, however there are no records of the game and no one's sure who won, but it sparked an interest in university campus' nationwide.
In the early 1900's, rugby was introduced as an Olympic sport, giving the country an incentive to establish the game in the USA; however, when the sport was dropped from the Olympics, interest in the sport declined and it disappeared until the 1960's.
In 1975 USA Rugby was established, the federation that now governs the sport in America, since then rugby has grown in the country, particularly on the east coast. The National team, the Eagles has both a men's and women's side that compete internationally and have both competed in the Rugby World Cup. America itself is a premier tourist destination, home to some of the biggest and best amusement parks and some incredible natural wonders, it is impossible to get bored in the USA.
America is difficult to sum up as each state offers something different, most people will have there own ideas of where they wish to go in America, as it is a country with so much to offer and with such fame. Wherever it is you wish to go, there is one thing that's guaranteed -a true American welcome.
